"This brand explores new ways of improving the industry with a unique sense of aesthetic." - Metal Magazine
Ksenia’s keen eye for detail and love for reimagining vintage styles have led to the creation of some of the most talked-about garments in contemporary fashion. Bringing a technical and conceptual edge to the brand, Anton’s expertise in graphic design complements Ksenia’s creative direction. Together, they have cultivated a brand that not only stands out aesthetically but also champions ethical fashion.
"Many brands are now embracing upcycling, with label Ksenia Schnaider being one of them, demonstrating just how creative the process can be." - Harper`s Bazaar USA.
Sustainability has formulated the DNA of KSENIASCHNAIDER. Production facilities are located in Ukraine and belong to the brand, which allows complete control over all stages of production. In one month KS production is reworking about 500 pair of jeans, which added up to 5 tons a year. The team also developed a way to turn own textile waste into denim fur and into patchwork items. In one season KS production are reworking around 200 kilos of textile waste and 100 kilos of vintage sportswear. KSENIASCHNAIDER is also upcycling fabric swatches and samples into patchwork shirts. Each reworked item is individually assembled and therefore one of a kind.
"Our work is a blend of art and responsibility. Every piece we create is a testament to the possibilities of sustainable fashion," says Anton Schnaider. This fusion of creativity and conscience is what sets KSENIASCHNAIDER apart, leading the charge towards a fashion industry that values the planet as much as it does aesthetics.
KSENIASCHNAIDER believes in “design minus design.” If it can be used, it should be reused. If it can be recycled, it should be recycled. If it can be upcycled, it should be worn again.
"Denim is timeless, but it doesn’t have to be wasteful. We give old jeans a new story to tell." -Ksenia Schnaider.
