SS25 Collection: LOST MOSAICS
In a world where art mirrors the essence of our times, KSENIASCHNAIDER’s SS25 collection serves as a poignant reflection of the current moment—where many Ukrainians and others around the globe are reassembling the fragments of their lives amidst profound challenges ... like a mosaic.
Inspired by the monumental mosaic artistry of Stepan and Roman Kirichenki, along with the works of Ludmila Yastreb and lesser-known artists from Mirgorod and Severdonetsk, Ksenia’s unwavering optimism is beautifully manifested in lighter-than-feather dresses, tops, and skirts, hand-patched from leftover draped tulle and reflecting the intricate motifs of blossoming flowers and picturesque landscapes.
The Braided Cropped Denim Jacket represents a new twist in KSENIASCHNAIDER’s commitment to the Zero Waste fashion. Its elegant silhouette features multiple intertwining plaits crafted from denim rem nants, stitched onto vintage denim fabric, making a powerful statement against the disposal of unused materials and barely worn garments.
This September, KSENIASCHNAIDER’s dedication to Zero Waste was celebrated with our Denim Fur Jeans winning PETA’s Vegan Fashion Award 2024. Reflecting on the brand’s achievement, Harald Ullmann, co-founder and 2nd chairman of PETA Germany, remarked: “KSENIASCHNAIDER shows in an exemplary way that sustainable and vegan fashion creations are possible at any time.”
No true streetwear aficionado can navigate a summer in the city without KSENIASCHNAIDER’s tongue-in-cheek broderie anglaise hoodie, ex pertly paired with a black 2-in-1 Skirty Trouser crafted from the same fabric. Anton Schnaider remarks: “Excited by the concept of mosaics, we experimented with fabric combinations until one transformed into an al most comic blue jean with white broderie pockets, while another became an off-duty Broderie Boxer Skirt.”
This season marks the debut of KSENIASCHNAIDER’s innovative skirty silhouette in jeans and trousers. Emerging from Anton’s philosophy of “why choose between a skirt or trousers when you can wear both,” this design is available in denim, distressed ruffled denim, patchwork, and broderie anglaise, offered in both flared and wide-leg fits.
Additionally, we are thrilled to introduce a new release of our iconic Platform Bag in blue and black denim. Anton explains: “For a fashion designer, a bag is akin to a chair for an architect. The challenge lies in reimagining its form while maintaining functionality. Observing the common dilemma of where to place a bag while seated at a street café, I designed a simple bag elevated on its own platform. To preserve its minimalist aesthetic, I removed the handles and replaced them with elegant tubes that visually float on the sides of the bag.”
The SS25 collection will be available from February to March 2025 and can be purchased at kseniashnaider.com and through selected stockists.
